I started collecting his releases after kamakiriad, but went back to the first album to pick up some vinyl releases also.
For the nightfly album, several singles were released, along with some promo releases. The things of note, are basically some 7 inch edits, along with the CDV format, but no new tracks or bsides were released. Tracklist I. What A Beautiful World Walk Between Raindrops Many different 7 inch, 12 inches, and of note is a japanese 3 inch cd-single: Donald Fagen - I. International Geophysical Year printed on the inside, as well as promotions for IBM Think Pad with a round sticker in front and full image ad at the back.

Up first - Kamakiriad. This is Donald's return from the writer's block wasteland. Superficially - it's a story about a futuristic journey in some sort of possibly post-apocalyptic wasteland. It's also a metaphor for the trials and travails of middle age.

Very cool The front looks like the Kamakiriad CD , only it has a purple border around it, and a black banner proclaiming it as a "Collectors Edition 2 CD set". Don't know how rare it is, or even when I got it, but I always buy stuff like this when I find it. One note: The booklet for this one makes no note of where Shanghai Confidential comes from, other than it was produced by Dobald Fagen, as was "Confide in Me" According to my CD3, the production credits for Century's End and Shanghai Confidential are totally different.
