It's fun, just a question of how much for you. I really like Butterbeans. The song and the food. A reminder of their Georgia beginnings.
I had all of the other B's other releases before I bought this one recently. I had been watching the video for "Legal Tender" online and got hooked on that song. It is a very clever song about "making money" in your basement. I now have many favorites from this disc. Other stand out tunes are "Butterbean" and "Trism".
All of the tracks are great and "Big Bird" is one of their strangest songs ever. If you are a B's fan and don't have this disc you should buy it. Somehow this collection got lost with all the music. Little did the 52's know at the time but these songs like all of their 80's imput were well crafted gems that have instant appeal and they've become timeless, they work so well in my mixes. This group just continued to push the enveolpe. I don't aggree with those that say the 52's were running out of ideas. They had so many ideas and where collectively so talented they ended up all over the place with their sounds but here it tis, and this music continues to impress my ears, way ahead of its time, like most of their good stuff!
We were invited to an 'album party', where you bring your favorite album and dress up like the artist on the cover. So I orderd 'Whammy' because I love it and love the Bs even more, and I do not have this album on vinyl.

In January , the band performed in Brazil at Rock in Rio , their largest crowd ever. Having taken a one-year break, the band struggled to write new material for their next album. They all lived together in the same house, and felt that collaboration was not working. They decided to try to write songs separately, and began recording in July , again using drum machines and extensive synthesizers.
During the recording, guitarist Wilson had been suffering from AIDS ,  though none of the other band members were aware of his illness except for Strickland, as he "did not want anyone to worry about him or fuss about him. When the band returned to the studio, Strickland had learned how to play the guitar in Wilson's unique style and switched permanently to the new instrument, leaving session players to complete the rhythm section. Because of Wilson's death, the band did not tour to promote the album.
A music video was made for " Girl from Ipanema Goes to Greenland " and the band appeared on some UK television programs but then took a two-year hiatus. Cindy Wilson was devastated by her brother's death, and her bandmates were depressed about Ricky's passing.
