If that were the case, Jesus would have been the wealthiest of men. But just the opposite is true Matthew Abundant life is eternal life, a life that begins the moment we come to Christ and receive Him as Savior, and goes on throughout all eternity.

This definition makes no mention of length of days, health, prosperity, family, or occupation. As a matter of fact, the only thing it does mention is knowledge of God, which is the key to a truly abundant life. What is the abundant life? First, abundance is spiritual abundance, not material. This is perfection in the highest. As an ambassador of Christ I put on the robe of righteousness.

I will see myself through the eyes of Jesus. I am Christ-like. I am righteous. I am worthy. I am clean. I have on the righteousness of Christ. My flesh will bow down to the righteousness of Christ. The righteousness of Christ will 'not' bow down to my flesh. Lord Jesus enable my spirit so I can walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.

I will be transformed by the renewing of my mind. I will put off the old man and put on the new. Is this all we can do to obtain the abundant life?

We are told we are now able to reap the rewards of an abundant life promised in the Bible. Are you living the abundant life? Or, are you still struggling and in bondage to fear, anger, addictions, infirmity and other things?

Why is this so? The Holy Spirit has revealed some amazing truths to me. We are saved! When the Holy Spirit permeates entirely into our soul and physical body we see the ultimate freedom in Christ. We must put to death the old ways, we must literally die to our old selves. For I know that in me that is, in my flesh nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.

Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So why does satan still have access to us after we are born-again? As far as God is concerned the work is done. Jesus has offered His life for our life. The key is understand that we will not automatically receive materials blessing and to acknowledge that we can be remarkable blessed, and live an abundant life, in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Poverty and persecution cannot overcome the prosperity that God provides for us in Christ. Abundant life is not about what we have. Ultimately, abundant life is about what we receive as a gift from the Lord and to live knowing we are stewards of the blessings of God. Furthermore, stewardship is not measure by what we have received, but by what we have given. At the end of the day, perhaps that is how we know we have an abundant life—when we have shared our life with others.

When we have enough of the blessings of God mercy, peace, love, grace, wisdom, etc. Support the work of CT. Subscribe and get one year free. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
